Aluminum Extrusion

Aluminum extrusion is a manufacturing process used to create objects with a consistent cross-sectional shape by forcing heated aluminum alloy through a shaped opening, called a die, using a hydraulic press or an extrusion machine. Once the extruded aluminum profile has been formed, it is cooled to harden and solidify the shape. After cooling, the extruded profile may undergo further processes such as cutting, machining, finishing, and surface treatments to achieve the desired dimensions, appearance, and functional characteristics. Aluminum extrusion is favored for its versatility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in producing complex shapes with uniformity and precision and its lightweight nature, corrosion resistance, and ability to be tailored to specific design requirements.
